An SCLO attorney will meet briefly and privately with seniors 60+ on a first come, first serve basis to answer legal questions.
Due to SCLO funding requirements, this legal clinic can only assist low to moderately low income seniors.

SCLO to hold its monthly Life Planning and Medicaid presentations at the Highland Senior Center
SCLO staff attorneys will conduct their monthly presentations on life (estate) planning and Institutional Care Medicaid coverage at the Highland Senior Center
on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 1-3 pm
1:00 p.m. presentation will cover estate planning including wills and powers of attorney
2:00 p.m. presentation will focus on Institutional Care Medicaid coverage for nursing homes, home & community based services ‘waiver’ eligibility, and the PACE Program.

SCLO to conduct a power of attorney clinic at the Highland Senior Center
Please join the Senior Citizens Law Office at the Highland Senior Center on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a presentation and clinic on powers of attorney. Both health care and financial powers of attorneys and cremation authorizations will be discussed and attorneys will assist seniors in completing the forms. Please bring the names, phone numbers, and addresses of the people you would like to appoint as your agents for the powers of attorney.
Seniors are asked to call the Senior Citizens’ Law Office, Inc. at 265-2300 to sign up in advance to meet with attorneys to complete your powers of attorneys.

Town Hall meeting at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center
The City of Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Area Agency on Aging and the NM Aging & Long-Term Services Department are co-hosting a Town Hall meeting during the month of May. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit input, from providers, older adults, caregivers and other interested parties, regarding the provision of services to older adults and caregivers throughout Bernalillo County, as well as input about the needs of these populations.
The Town Hall meeting is scheduled as follows:
Thursday, May 31, 9:00 – 11:00 am in Albuquerque at the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center, 501 Elizabeth St SE.
