SCLO to staff an informational booth at the
Route 66 West Fest powered by Think Big Community Event
The West Central Community Development Group (WCCDG), a nonpartisan group of hard-working community leaders, residents and business people who have come together to achieve the goal of making West Central a vibrant, thriving entertainment and business area, in partnership with the Southwest Alliance of Neighbors (SWAN), the City of Albuquerque, and Youth Development, Inc. (YDI) will host the Annual Rt. 66 WEST FEST, powered by THINK BIG, community gathering on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the parking lot located on the northwest corner of Unser and Central (adjacent to the Patrick J. Baca library). We will be celebrating the community and economic development successes we have worked for the past few years. The community is invited to come enjoy a beautiful summer day with live music, food, car show, boxing exhibition, children activities and fun. Festivities begin at 1:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm.
Residents have a chance to be entered into a drawing to win various prizes by completing a community survey. This is a great opportunity for West Side residents to provide feedback and suggestions on to make West Central a more inviting place for business development.
Community organizations and government agencies are invited to set up informational booths to provide service and program information to community residents. Booth registration forms are available on the WCCDG website. WCCDG will provide a reserved area under a tent with tables and chairs.
